You’re Allowed to Start Over (Even With Yourself)

Sometimes the hardest person to forgive… is yourself.

For the goals you dropped. The versions of you that didn’t stick.

The moments you were messy, reactive, avoidant, impulsive, or just too much.

You look back at old journal entries, forgotten routines, half-finished projects, and wonder why you can’t seem to hold it all together. Why you keep falling off track. Why you keep starting over.

But here’s the truth: starting over isn’t failure—it’s self-respect.

It’s saying, “I deserve another shot at this.”

It’s refusing to let yesterday’s spiral define today’s potential.

It’s recognizing that healing isn’t about constant progress—it’s about returning to yourself, again and again, with compassion.

Especially if you have ADHD, depression, or any kind of brain that struggles with consistency, this truth hits even harder:

You will start over. A lot.

That doesn’t make you broken. It makes you resilient.

You’re allowed to reset. Rebuild. Reframe.

You’re allowed to say, “That version of me wasn’t working, but I still believe in who I’m becoming.”

You’re allowed to show up late to your own life and still be right on time.

And if no one’s told you lately—you’re allowed to be proud of trying again.
